After our last trip to Bonaire in June 2008, I decided that I wanted to be more involved in diving activities. I thought that one way to be more involved was to get some advanced dive training. I've had my advanced open water certification since the 80's but never did any further training.

I went to my favorite dive shop All Wet Scuba in Tempe and signed up for a Rescue Diving course. On July 19th I completed my PADI Rescue Diver Certification. The training was fun, and challenging. I feel very confidant after the training that I can handle a diving emergency. This is good for my favorite dive buddy Suzanne!

Next I went on to take the Dive Master Certification course. I've been working on it for a while, and finally finished on October 12th 2008. I plan on using my certification to help out with training for All Wet Scuba and will consider instructor training next summer.

I enjoy diving, not so much in the lake, but every lake dive just makes me a better underwater navigator and makes our trips to warm blue water that much better.
